Visualize Yourself Healthy!

Reprogram your mind with positive thoughts. Allow only those thoughts that build you up and remove the negative programming that's keeping you down. If you hate your body, sooner or later, it will hate you back. Trust me! Pick up the book "Heal your Body A-Z" by Louise Hay. Every illness starts out as a thought form. If you repeat something enough, you will draw it to yourself. We have been programmed to believe our bodies don't regenerate after a certain age or event. Here are a few examples of situations that change your body shape: Child birth, Menopause, Divorce, Surgery, Prescriptions and Hormone Replacement Therapy. I understand how the above subjects can affect your body because I’ve been through a few of them myself. Obviously when I was getting hormone injections I could not control the weight gain, but I could control my reaction to it.

The amount of fear you give to the problem at hand decided how long you take to move through it. After I having my daughter, I weighed well over 200 pounds. I chose to take advantage of time I had at home to lose the next 135 pounds. My focus was me and my baby. It’s all about where your focus lies. When I heard the daily insult, “You’re a big girl, but you have a beautiful face.” I’d just smiled. I knew who I was and what I would accomplish. One of my favorite saying is, “Once you make up your mind, NO ONE can stop you.” If you don't like something in your reality, you can change it. ALWAYS remember, what you say is what you get. Don't start with a negative thought or losing weight will take you much longer.

Here is an example:

ORIGINAL THOUGHT- I'll never lose weight.

ACTION - I might as well eat this candy. I can't lose weight anyway, what's the point?
RESULT - Your thoughts come true. You didn't lose weight because you set your mind up to fail. You were right.

You have control over what you decide to think, focus on, and perceive. To make changes in your thinking patterns and eventually your weight, you can use repetitious, life-enhancing thoughts. You can create and use positive affirmations to gear up your mind. You will be able to accept new ways of thinking and make change easier for yourself.

Here are a few affirmations to start with:

I love myself.

I have a beautiful figure.

I crave healthy foods.

My body craves only what it needs.

I am naturally thin.

I have a high metabolism and lose weight effortlessly.

Affirmations are powerful things that can be used to change a behavior or a condition. When you plant new ideas daily, your perceptions of yourself will change. Remember, positive affirmations are what reprogram your brain to realign your body's metabolism.

Patterns start with a thought, then a spoken word, then a repeated phrase, then a reality. This FACT can't be emphasized enough! Start now with POSITIVE thoughts and words about your appearance. Be very specific about what you want. Set goals for yourself. Make a chart of your progress. Focus on your goal and be honest with yourself.

First, try to recall a time in your life when you loved your weight. Find a picture that you admire, but make sure it's your bone structure and don't compare yourself to anyone, especially in a magazine. Everyone has a different ideal body weight. A 6 ft. tall woman with big bones will have a different goal than a petite woman with a willowy frame. Post pictures of you and/or your inspiration all over your house. Be sure the picture is in plain view in the room where you eat most often. Visualize yourself at your perfect size. Imagine how it would feel to walk down the beach in a bikini with confidence.

Then, before you go to bed, get naked and look at yourself in a full length mirror in the dark. Of course, everyone has a hard time doing this part of the diet. That's why I suggest doing it in the dark. (It is easier to visualize yourself thin.) I had a hard time looking at myself naked and thinking anything positive. If you burst into tears, allow yourself to have that moment. Don't start with a negative statement about yourself when you're in front of that mirror! Promise you will find ONE positive thing to say about yourself. This is a good time to get those affirmations out and read them! When you look in the mirror, stare at yourself long enough to allow your mind to wander. When you feel yourself losing focus, imagine yourself with that new figure! See your thin form looking back at you. Roll your hands over your least favorite areas and visualize the improvements. Do whatever it takes to get comfy with that mirror. Look at the way you stand, how you move. Does your body language exhibit confidence or pain? Listen to yourself.

Rebuilding your body image is a new experience for most people. This program is only as hard as you allow it to be. I've seen some clients with fast dramatic results and some take a year just to believe the process is real. Convince your subconscious with continuous positive programming. You will see a difference in 3 weeks. You must believe this process is possible for it to work. When your mind is focused on a limited number of beliefs, it's not open to the totality of possibilities. Remember, beliefs create reality. In order to make changes in your life, you will have to challenge some of your beliefs. You MUST be willing to go beyond what you believe in order for positive affirmations to take root in your mind.
